Unfortunately, I feel that the proper punishment is death and that is not gonna happen. God bless that baby girl. 
ETA: I just read the article and apparently she can receive the death penalty. I hope justice is served.

I just watched a few mins while they did jury selection. She's sitting there smiling and laughing at some of the comments and I want to wipe that smile off of her face.

Exactly! No death penalty! She needs to be abused and needs to suffer!
The only problem I have with this is it won't happen. She will probably put in soliiary confinement for her own protection.

WOW! I don't recall all the details of this story. but what I just read is beyond awful. What a crap person that mother is.
It's a shame that as part of the punishment they can't mandate hysterectomies for people that do things like this so they can never have another child ever again.
I hope she, at the very least, gets life in jail! this story is tragic and awful. That poor little girl. She looks so sweet and innocent in those pictures. IDK how anyone can do these inhumane things to anyone, let alone an innocent child... and even worse YOUR innocent child!!
That mother is a disgusting disgrace who deserves to rot.

This woman makes me so angry. I just never understand how a parent, a mom can fail their child in such a catastrophic way. I can't read this story, I just don't know if I can follow this trial. I just think of that poor little girl-the same age as my own DD

And all I can think about it is all the childless couples out there who would do ANYTHING to adopt a child.
Who would have loved and cherised this little girl.
Why on earth would you KILL your child?
Why not just put her up for adoption if you can't deal with her that much?
I dont' get it...I really don't get the evil in this world!
