Casual Sneakers - Yay or Nay - now more choices
Need a new pair of casual sneakers, not for the gym - for errands, weekends, etc.
Also main reason is going to Europe in Spring and need something good to walk around in that will still be stylish.
If you say no, please recommend something else.
These are canvas.
What do you think of the grey or black ones? Our trip is last week of April, first week of May. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Casual Sneakers - Yay or Nay
i'm not a sneaker person so i was expecting to not like the sneakers but they are really cute for running around.
i can see them with rolled up boyfriend jeans and a cute t shirt.
however, a big nay for Europe. white sneakers are like a target..they scream "tourist"...you might be better off with a comfortable flat or no-heel boots. if you must wear a sneaker, wear a narrow leather one thet is less discernable as a sneaker

cute, but I agree that they're a huge NO for Europe :) try a comfortable flat - not necessarily these, but something similar. These are merrell.

imo, only teenagers are allowed to wear sneakers in europe
I think you can probably get away with some of the sketchers shoe/sneakers
Try european made shoes with a shorter wedge, they are super comfy. My favorite brand is arche, hard to find online, but there are a couple shops in the city.

As soon as I started reading your thread I was going to suggest pumas! To me they are the perfect casual sneaker. I have a pair in brown and I love them. They are comfy and go with everything.

And from those choices I would go with the blue if you are planning on wearing jeans/pants. I would only suggest white if it's during the warm weather.

I bought a similar style from sketchers for our European trip this spring
