Cat help- she had mucousy bloody diarrhea.. sorry if TMI UPDATE
We have my cat almost 3 months. She has been to the vet and is in good health. (Knock on wood) she is an indoors only cat. She is eating, playing, and drinking like normal. We ran out of her regular food b/c we mix it w/ another dry food. She was only getting the low calorie one. She did not have a bowel movement for 2 days. today in her litter box was a loose stool w/ a little bit of blood w/ mucus mixed in. The day before she had some gas. Her little tush is a little bit raw too. I googled it and it said that it can be from that- I am hoping I do not have to take her to the vet to run unnecessary tests to find out it was an upset tummy- has anyone else had this happen and what was the outcome. I will take her to the vet , but trying to avoid it if possible. Should I see what happens tomorrow? *Update- I thiink it was my other cat- he had some treats he does not usually eat and also a piece of my DH shoelace is missing on his boot. They are both acting fine. The cat I think did this usually does not cover w/ litter, and this was not covered up. He is acting perfectly fine as well as the other one- I guess time will tell, no one is in pain, the cat I think did have this now has gone and all seems normal- Time will tell when the other one uses the litter tray. Thanks for the response. It is appreciated- will update more when i can.

I remember reading that a little bit of diarrhea with a little blood was also a sign of constipation. I remember reading that owners sometimes don't realize the cat is constipated because of this.
Do you feed your cat wet food or only dry? You can try giving her pure canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix) if she will eat it. This will help with constipation. Also you can try putting water in her dry food so it soaks it up. My cat won't eat his food this way but hopefully yours will. You have to be careful if she doesn't go for a while because I think she could be at risk for megacolon.
I would bring her to the vet if she hasn't gone yet.
