Cat injury question!!
DH and I have no idea how it happened but our cat Percy has a scrape, about 1/2 inch long and 1/4 inch wide, on his back about an inch behind his neck. He's an indoor cat so it couldn't have been from a cat fight or anything like that and he can't reach the spot so he couldn't have bitten the fur off or chewed on the spot. He doesn't have fleas and we can't find anything in the house he could have injured himself on. We're watching it to see if it gets worse. Does anyone have any idea how we should treat the injured spot? He never gets hurt!

Re: Cat injury question!!
Probably was jumping and got caught on something...I would just clean it with warm water and put a tiny bit of bacitracin on.

Re: Cat injury question!!
Just put some Neosporin on it. That is what our vet rec. when our cat got a cut in the same spot. Put in on 2x a day.

Re: Cat injury question!!
Thanks everyone! We've been putting Neosporin on it but was worried he's scratch the spot and make it worse. Luckily he can't reach it to lick off the medicine. My poor cat!
