Cat owners
When your cat wakes you up to be fed, and you have like 10 minutes until your alarm goes off, do you suck it up and feed kitty, or make him/her wait?
I feel bad making my kitty wait (and DH hear his crying), but I hate getting up before my alarm. I set it for a reason.
What do you do? At night when we do dishes we clean his bowl and leave fresh dry food, so he has food. Just not his wet food which he loves.

Re: Cat owners
i would make him wait if i was you. otherwise he will always feel he can wake you up when he wants to eat.
I made this mistake with my kitten and 12 years later he cries and wakes me up. I'll go out there and he has dry food, he was just hoping for wet food.

I feel so bad for DH though. Since he has to hear the crying. I'm a heavy sleeper and I can just fall back asleep.

Re: Cat owners
My cats don't ever wake us up to be fed. They wait until we get up and then start running around like lunatics. If they were crying for food, I would ingnore them until we were ready - otherwise that just reinforces a bad habit.

Re: Cat owners
Oh I get up or I won't hear the end of the yelling. She then gets ****** if I don't respond right away. She throws (well moves) her dish across the kitchen. I leave out dry and wet but sometimes she is a little piggy during the night so I have no choice in getting up in the middle of he night.
ETA: She doesn't wake us up to be fed every night. It is more like 3 times a week she would do that.
