Cat Parents, How Do You Deal With Kitty's Claws?

My dear Leprichaun was such a good boy, I used to clip his claws to save my furniture, but he never took his claws out on us humans.

Banshee on the other hand loves to scratch everything. Luckily, she doesn't scratch me, DH or DD, but she has swatted at our dog, Captain. I've started clipping her claws, but she doesn't let me do it as easily as Lep did.

Has anyone used the caps for claws that you glue on? I was thinking about getting them, but I wanted to check with you ladies first and see if they are worth it.

Tuesday doesnt MEAN to scratch me, but she does very often because she jumps on me. tmi but ill be peeing and she'll jump on my lap or even onto my back (from the side) and one of us gets startled and she'll run off, scratching me in the process.

she has never "kneaded" anything until tonight i saw her doing it to one of my skirts.

i use clippers on her, she's pretty good about it.

saffy we got when i was like 16 or something and my mom got him declawed :(

I keep my cats' claws short and blunt.. I haven't used the caps, but I haven't heard great things about them.

I clip t heir claws when they are really relaxed, just lounging around. If I try to do it by just grabbing them and holding them down, they resisit. But if they are all sleepy and relaxed they are pretty easy about it.
