Does anyone know the name of the kind of cat that has no claws..
and can only be kept indoors?
I was talking to someone about this type breed and she said that she was only allowed to adopt the cat if she agreed to maintain the cat indoors because the cat could not defend itself outside.
anyone know?

I have never heard of any breed of cat like this.
She probably adopted a cat that was de clawed and as a condition for adoption they told her that because the cat can no longer defend itself it needs to be an indoor only cat.
That's what I said but she said that this was a special breed and the cat is also a very pet friendly cat. so odd! it's bothering me now! lol

I love ragdolls..couldn't get one now because our K.C. still has claws..if they got in a fight the Ragdoll wouldn't stand a chance.
they are beautiful cats.

Where does it state that they have no claws?
I found this on another site ~ "Ragdolls are incapable of defending themselves: Ragdolls may be relaxed, but they do indeed have claws and will use them if necessary."
I didn't say that they had no claws. I said that my FRIEND told me that it had NO claws but that they needed to be kept safe and away from other animals! So based on what I've read on the site that I posted and others, I believe that she had the ragdoll cat de-clawed.

Ohhhh. I just thought that the "I found it" was referencing the fact that this was the breed of cat your friend was referring to and that it was bred to have no claws. Sorry.
LOL no, not me! I was having a chat with her and she was telling me about her cat and I had never heard of such a cat, so that's why I asked here!
