Catering for a Christening at home....suggestions?
I am trying to do the christening in my backyard with tent rentals.
We are looking for Italian food (ziti, chicken parm, eggplant rollatine etc)
I have one place so far near my house that is 10.95 a person for the above food plus salad, bread, plates utensils & sternos included. My family has used them before and it is great....but I do like to shop around.
I was just checking out other places. I have 121 people on the invite list....
I am planning way ahead I am doing it in June I just like to have a plan set for when I am ready to start ordering between going back to work and being a 1st time mom I wanna plan and research as much as I can since LO isnt here yet
If your suggestions have websites with prices that would be awesome! Preferably nassau.
Also has any one used BJs for 6 ft heroes? Is it true they dont cut them for you?
Any info would be helpful
TIA!!

I am not sure where you are located but I have had the following food and it was really good:
Hero's: Best Yet in Farmingdale/North Massapequa, they are reasonable too
Hot food: I have used Mama Theresa's in Carle Place (next to Century 21). The food comes warm and it was good, just a little pricey. I have also had food from Sebastiano's in Farmingdale.

Yes!! I have used them! Right by me! Every superbowl sunday we get hereos. I think their prices are the same as the catering place I have in mind though and I know the place i might use uses fresh homemade roastbeef and turkey....so i would go with them for the same price
I get best yet at superbowl time b/c the run a great sale on it
I was just checkin out bjs to see if it was cheaper but if they dont cut it I dont wanna deal with that....
Love Mama Theresas! I will have to check that out for catereing but I think it is going to be way more. I eat their grilled chicken salads alllll the time at work

We're having DS's Christening catered by Francesco's Trattoria in East Islip. The party is in Bethpage though.....but they said they have no problem delivering the food to the party site. BEST Italian food ever. Ask for Frank Franceso's Trattoria
