Cats and kidney stones??
We had to take my cat to the emergency vet a few days ago b/c he had kidney stones that were blocking his ability to urinate. They needed to knock him out, catheterize him, and are keeping him for observation until Monday!! We're lucky though - he's being cared for by he best vet ever, and he's going to be ok!
He's never had anything like this before. We haven't changed his diet (Indoor formula Purina dry food and once can of Fancy Feast wet food, per day) in the four and a half years we've had him. How can we prevent this from happening again?

Re: Cats and kidney stones??
I went thru this with my guy
Change his food to the RX science diet c/d food- you can only get it from the vet- but it's worth it
It breaks down the crystals- we have not had another issue since
