Cats off counters
I have a 6 month old kitten. She is so naughty!! She is constantly on the counters/table. I push her off, when I catch her. I tried tinfoil, that didn't work. This cat is part honey badger and don't give a %&*!!!
She was in the garbage, my husband sprayed her with the kitchen hose, she looked at him like is that all you got. She then ran, and came back to the garbage, literally 4 times before he just took the garbage out!! It's in an enclosed can.
Then this morning, we came downstairs, she ate a package of hotdog buns we had on the counter. I am so frustrated! I am going to try double sticky tape, but this cat loves water, so i don't think spraying her helps, she literally walks into the shower.
Nothing phases her!! I am at my wits end! I know cats get into things, but I've never seen a cat like this. She will literally sit and beg for food!! She eats french fries, she has stuck her head in a bag of chips and eats doritos and tostitos!
Any advice?? I've always had cats growing up and Ive just never had one like her!

Cats off counters
I've had cats that like water, but still didn't like being sprayed. My current younger cat didn't care about sticky tape, foil, etc. And she was just like yours as kitten, totally curious and wanted to eat EVERYTHING. About a year-18 months old she calmed down and no longer will eat fries or other things, she is 6 now. Try some pennies in an empty soda can and tape the top, shake it when she is on the counters. A loud noise or even a "hey" might work to help. Of course, when you're away, chances are she'll be right back to it.

See how the sticky tape works, also you can try redirection by teachin her to jump onto a stool instead. I read about it in the book cat trainin in 10 minutes or less. Counter surfin is the worst.
(Sorry about the poor typin yesterday my lap top decided that I dont need the letter that rhymes with E between the F and H on the key board. I really need to et it fixed because it's drivin me crazy!)

Re: Cats off counters
my cats couldn't care less about water being sprayed at the them. we use compressed air.
they have automatic sensor air sprayers that you can place in an area that are motion activated.
we just keep a can of air in the 'hot zones' and now we just have to pick the can up and they go running.
