"cautiously optimistic"
I saw that phrase in one of the other threads.. and that perfectly describes what i'm feeling right now, and i'm a bit nervous too!
Just came back from our consult and initial testing with the dr who is running the IVF trial, and so far so good.. we're still in it!
I will go back for bloodwork on cd2 (which will prob be this weekend) and as long as my hormone levels are ok (fingers crossed.. please please please) then i'll start taking the drugs. Then and only then will i actually breathe a sigh of relief.
Now, i'm still hopeful, still a little on cloud 9 that this meeting went so well, and still 'cautiously optimistic'
Stay tuned ladies.. i'm hoping in a week or so i can post that i'm A. pregnant from this cycle (ha, who are we kidding!) or B. starting the ivf drug cycle.
I won't allow C. (my hormones screw me over) to even be an option!

Thanks everyone!
the trial is not 100% ideal in that they can't customize the protocol for each patient - we all get the same amount of the drug no matter what. But the way i'm looking at it is that it's a chance for us to get IVF done for free, and its better than what we've been doing so far, so we're willing to take our chances and keep our fingers crossed!
