Cavity question...
Had a cavity filled yesterday afternoon, and when I brush my teeth it almost feels like I have that knawing pain before the cavity was filled. Will it go away? Is it just becuase there was drilling???? ( After 2 root canals- it was nothing but I am a big baby with pain!)
TIA!

Re: Cavity question...
I would call the dentist just for the peace of mind.
I've personally never experienced pain after a filling.

Re: Cavity question...
I had pain after a filling - it went away a couple of days afterwards. Was it very close to the root? That would do it.

Re: Cavity question...
did u hav a white or silver filling? white fillings can leave u w/ sensativiy for a few day or even weeks. did the dr say if it was close to the nerve? if so that can also be why. give it a few days if it still bothers you def. call and tell then u would like to be seen b/c that tooth still hurts. good luck.ps.. you know a toothache is bad when drinking something hot bothers it or it wakes u up at night.

Re: Cavity question...
Hi... thanks for all the responses. I called the dentist and he said it is perfectly normal from the drilling. The cavity was close to the gum line. It was a white filling. So I am going to gve it a few weeks and then if it still feels like it hurts to go back to the dentist. The pain is starting to subside. Thanks again!
