CBEFM vs CPK sticks question...

Hi - I am back on TTC after a recent miscarriage - it's good to be back.
I've always used the CBEFM in the past. I back that up with CPK sticks b/c I'm crazy. This time I'm using the CBE digital sticks. Got smiley face on those yesterday and today and still only high reading (2 bars) on the monitor...is that strange? I've had EWCM and been expecting a peak reading on the monitor...anyone ever notice a difference like that in the monitor vs the sticks?

this happened to me last month i got my on cd18 (i O late) but was only at a high level on the cbefm. i expected it to jumpt to peak the next day at least but nope. so after cd19 i kept doing the monitor but stopped using the opk's bc i figured i already got my smiley. WELL, on cd22 i got a peak on the monitor! checked the opk and sure enough . i got a peak and a again on cd23 as well.
being that i got the peak AND the on cd22/23 i am going with that as far as my O date. cd18 was obviously a false positive which i didn't know could even happen and is quite annoying, with all the $$ spent on these tests thank goodness i was using both, or i would have gotten my on cd18, and assumed that was it and completely missed my O'ing later on in the cycle. (not that i got a bfp anyway this month )

Now today I didn't get a positive on the CPKs - still just high on the monitor. Is it possible I won't see peak on the monitor this cycle - but did get a positive reading for 3 days on the sticks?
So confused...
