CBS Hallmark Movie - Anyone watch Sunday's "The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler"
WOW....I DVR it and watched it last night and I was in tears!
Does anyone know if there is a book on her life - her story was found out by 5 mid-western boys doing research on the Holocaust back in 2005. She died later on that year.

Yes! I watched it. Sooo moving and sad, but I love these stories to hear about other people helping out Jews during the War. I did research on it too and I don't think there's a book. Just the play that 5 HS students wrote and from what it looks like they're still doing it today.

Ah, I thought I had seen an ad during the fast forward of the commercials on DVR that there was a play.
It was nice that Hallmark was able to interview her before she died. Her remarks at the end of the show really show a side of humanity that we don't see too often!

ny public library has it but in polish only, so that wont help you much...
eta I just checked my local library in brooklyn has it in polish only as well...
