he was in the middle of talking to baldwin
baldwin went to say hi to her
and simmons was like
come back over here - she'll wait
and then later on he was like "i want you to leave because you're going to take this information and tell your sisters on the other team"

So she was insulted that he questioned her integrity, and that he also was rude to her (he was).

Yes, but then he sincerely apologized and she accepted. So all is warm and fuzzy again!!

I can't seem to find any deleted scenes on NBC's website related to the incident. I thought it was pretty clear what took place by watching last night's episode.
He was messing with her...trying to piss her off and it worked.  She was obnoxious in her approach and bit too touchy about being a woman.
Gene rocks.

And The Donald didn't seem upset at all. He said "Did you insult my daughter? No one insults my daughter." to Gene half laughing. Then Gene apologized to her.
Look under Videos - Gene puts his foot in it when Ivanka stops by.
I can't watch it at work, but there might be more there. I understand it was in the episode (I watched that), but the commercial said something earlier set it off or something and you could watch it online... not sure what's there, but that's what the ad said.

If it was his son, this would not have been an issue b/c Gene would not have asked his son if he was going to share it with his "sisters" on the other team.
And if it was Trump Jr, and the women asked him if he was going to go share it with his "brothers" on the men's team, I am sure it would have come up as well. But the differnence is, the women probably would not be sexist and would not question Don Jrs "professionalism".
Bottom line, Gene did talk down to her assuming that she is incompetent and and would value her "sisterhood" more than being a professional who would not take "sides" based on male/female status.
IMO she had every right to respond to his sexist comment to her. I think she answered just as she should have.

After shaking hands with Gene, Gene proceeds to hold on to her hand for a bit (testing her), she pulls her hand away and shakes it as if shaking something off her hand.
The clip is available for viewing on the NBC website.
