Cell phone won't turn on...this happen to anyone else?
Well my cell has been on the fritz for a while now.
Yesterday it just went black. I tried everything to get it to go back on. Nothing. I am assuming its finally "gone" but I am worried about my contacts and pictures in the phone.
Do you think if I bring it to a verizon store, they will still be able to transfer the pics and contacts to a new phone or are they gone now since the phone wont turn on???
I dont think I am eligible for an upgrade either at this point..UGH!!

this might be a stupid question, but did you try and charge it? maybe the battery is dead?

Not a stupid question..
First thing I tried was to charge it. Wont show its even taking a charge on the screen, it just stays black. I even took the battery out and put it back in, NOTHING.
I am just so sad that I may have lost everything.

I would take it to the Verizon store. I bet they can retrieve the data.

Maybe you need to replace the battery with a new one. I just did that with mine because my battery wasnt holding a charge

Have you had it less than a year? Verizon
has a 1 year warranty for such things.

have you done a hard reset on it yet? take the battery out of the phone, let it sit for at least a minute, and then put it back in. if there's a charge to the battery, usually this will kick it back in gear. If not, go to your cell company store and have them take a look at it.

Do you have the insurance plan?
Take it to the VZW store and they will let you know if it fixable or not and if you can get your contacts back.

If your phone will not turn on then they will be unable to transfer your contacts to a new phone. Verizon will probably give you a new phone free of charge though.
