Central air in rooms with vaulted ceilings?
Our bedroom has vaulted ceilings and it is significantly warmer in our bedroom than other rooms. It's really annoying at night when I want it to be cooler but if I lower it even more then it's freezing in DD's bedroom.
Does anyone else have this problem? Do you think adding another vent would help??
Gonna call Solomins tomorrow but wanted to get feedback here alao

maybe a ceiling fan to help circulate the air up there.

Re: Central air in rooms with vaulted ceilings?
With the AC, the ceilings shouldn't matter that much. Heat rises, so the cold air should stay low, below the vaulted ceiling. You might not have enough vents in the room. Where is the thermostat? That's what determines how much cold air to pump out. If the area around the thermostat is OK, the AC turns off, even if your room is hot.

You probably need more supply vents in the bedroom. Have them add one.

we had this in our last house. We added an additional 2 vents and return. We also had a ceiling fan (my DH is always hot) and it was the coolest room in the house

This! we have vaulted ceilings in our bedroom and its further away from the hall with the main return. When we had air installed, they put in 2 vents and a return, and we have a 60" ceiling fan.
Have you gone upstairs and adjusted the airflow to each vent? At the airhandler there is a nut and leaver on each run that you can open and close the airflow and everything in between.
I honestly do it every season as in the winter I need more air flowing to my son's room and less to ours, and the opposite in the summer.
