Cervix Length
I am 21 almost 22 weeks and when they did my anatomy scan they said I had a short cervix (2.8). I have another cervical check tomorrow, but has anyone else gone through this. What did they do for you if anything??

Re: Cervix Length
i havent been told i have a short cervix but i was being monitored for that because i am expecting twins. They explained if it is short they could put a cerclage (stitch) and/or be put on bed rest.

Re: Cervix Length
Did they put you on bedrest? And are they having you com back in a week to recheck? 3.5-4.0 is ideal. Towards the end or once viable like after 28 weeks they say 3.0 and above is best. I'm 32 with twins and mine is 2.7 but it's been stable and it's just being shortened by the weight of the babies.
Mine started at 26 weeks (2.7) and they put me on bedrest and indomethacin (anti-inflamitory that lengthens the cervix). It went back up to 3.4, then 4.0 then back down to 2.7. Ive been on the indo on weekends only and modified bedrest since. Mine is stable though so they said its not an issue of a weak cervix. It it were weak they could have done a cerclage (stiched it closed) up to 26 weeks at good Sam or up to 28 weeks at Winthrop.
Definitley make sure they are watching you closely. Many Dr.s don't even check cervix frequently.
Good luck!

Cervix Length
My SIL had a cerclage put in for 3 out of 4 of her pregnancies bc of a short cervix. She made it to the end each time, so I def recommend asking your dr about it. She didn't need to be on bed rest as long as the cerclage was in which was good too
