Changes in eating habits?

DD has been falling asleep while eating the past few days and nothing we seem to do wakes her up to finish her bottle. No doctors visits or shots (that's next week) so I can't even think that something messed her system up.

She'll eat an ounce, fall asleep. When I sit her and burp her she'll wake back up for another ounce. But then that's it. She was doing between 3 - 4 ounces regularly.

Any ideas?

I may be answering my own question here but someone pointed out that DD might be ready to change her feeding schedule.

She is 9 weeks - when did your DC change? On their own or from the peds advice?

It's possible it's a growth spurt - they tend to sleep long during those Chat Icon

That's what I was going to say.

I don't remember exactly when my DD's changed their feeding schedules but 9 weeks seems too early - but I could be wrong?

This is my thought too.. anytime Niko had a growth spurt, he'd be very sleepy.. though in his case he never fell asleep during feedings, he never wanted to miss an ounce (you've seen the size of him so you know what I mean Chat Icon)

I don't think that at Tori's age her feeding schedule would change just yet.. Nikolas drank bottles every 3 hours for a LONG time and I think it wasn't until he was on food that they started spacing out a bit.. but every baby is different in terms of their appetite so you might want to ask your pediatrician what they think
