Changing bottle questions

My dd is 8 mths old and we started her on Dr Browns Bottles.. which if you know the bottle it is a pain in the rear to clean , I would like to change her to another bottle but with almost the same style nipple so there is no major changing in the bottle department.
One thing that we dont have any real problem with, Should I change ??
I am hoping for things to get easier . I guess this is why I want to change .
Did you ever change the bottle at the stage .

Re: Changing bottle questions

My DD had alot of gas and spitting up issues so I stayed with the Dr. Brown's even though they were a pain in the rump.

I just recently changed her to regular bottles, using the Dr. Brown's nipples.

ETA: I think the Evenflo nipples are also just like the Dr. Brown's so you shouldn't have trouble with them.

Re: Changing bottle questions

TY I purchased the Avent wide bottles
Do you think I can put the Dr Brown nipples on this bottle.
And do you think the nipple is similar.
Also if you dont mind what number nipple are you using,
I feel the chart is off my DD doesnt like the flow that is recommened for her .

Re: Changing bottle questions

I recently tried the playtex ventair ones. They are not as much as a pain to clean and seem to be working well.

I tried to change back to Avent twice from Dr.Browns (he has the wideneck bottles) and he wouldnt drink from it at all and that was around 6 months. You can try but I think once children become comfortable it is hard to change them.

Re: Changing bottle questions

Yes, I changed my son from the Doctor Browns when he was around your daughters age for the exact same reason and he was fine with them. I just used a bottle with a similar nipple.

GOOD LUCK

Re: Changing bottle questions

I think the Dr. Brown's nipples would work in the Avent bottles, but you'd have to try to be sure. Not all of them are interchangeable.

I am using the Y-cut nipples because we used to add a bit of rice to DD's formula to thicken it up to reduce spitting up. Now she drinks regular milk out of the Y-cut and has no problems.
