Changing rooms at daycare-gift??
My son started a new daycare the last week in April. They are now transitioning him to the next room up in age. Am I supposed to get his current teacher a gift since he won't be with her anymore? The rooms are actually connected, it's one big room and the sink and some shelving separates the two classes, so we will still see her everyday, but she isn't technically his "teacher" anymore. I have been extremely happy with her and am actually sad that he won't be in her class anymore.
TIA!

I thought so too, my husband thinks I am nuts! I was thinking a gift card to starbucks or something like that but I am not sure how much is appropriate. I figured the poor woman could use a good cup of coffee after dealing with my son screaming everytime I drop him off!

Re: Changing rooms at daycare-gift??
I would...only because I didn't last year and told myself that I would wait until Xmas time to tip everyone and it just got to be way too much. Now I plan on tipping when she leaves each room so the Xmas cost isnt so much.

So what does everyone typically give? Is a gift card ok?

Re: Changing rooms at daycare-gift??
gift cards are great. Chloe recently changed rooms and I got her two teachers a small vera bradley zipper wallet thing ($15). It was right after teacher appreciation week when I got them gift cards, so I didn't want to do gift cards again.
