advise or words of wisdom needed for changing rooms
so since i am due in january we are trying to get ds into his new room this week... he will have a crib, just a different one... he is only 14 months old so i am worried about this being a horror... and since dh is off next week i am hoping that i will atleast get some help with this whole situation (he works nights which is why we are doing this now)... he also always been in the crib so he never had a bassinet to crib transition
i am just looking for some words of wisdom from anyone who has moved such a young child
just to add, we are moving him instead of just putting the new baby into the other room because the room he is being moved to is all blue and truly a boys room and the other room is neutral (we are team )... also it is a larger room so if we decide to have a third we can just move #2 into that room with him and keep the nursery the nursery

We did the same with my older DD. We just did it, and set up the new room as close to the way the old room was set up. She was 20 months old at the time and did just fine with it.

we did this too!! (for the same reason gender neutral nursery) MY DD was 17 mo old when DS was born. We put her in a different crib in that room ! There was absolutely no problems..all the hype we gave her new room she did fine from the beginning
We made a big deal a couple of days before we wanted her to sleep in there full time ! We kept getting all excited that it was HER Purple room (all girlie) we would just walk in there hang out, read a book!
Then we started one day with a nap...it was successful so we tried that night and it was also successful..so we never and she never looked back! It was HER ROOM!!! lol! SHe loved it! I dont think she remembers the sage green room ever being hers! (One of the perks to having a young DC#1)
