Charting and testing is getting expensive!! and Thermometer question

inspired by another thread about mulitple thermometers . . .

I've had 2 BBT so far. The first seemed completely weird -- I could take my temp over and over and come up with completely different readings (DH tried too and it just seemed to be weird). The new one I've only had for 3 months and it already seems to need a new battery -- the beep sounds weird.

Has anyone else had this problem? With buying all these BBTs, the OPKs, and the HPTs this process is more $$ than I thought -- not to mention annoying with all the trips to CVS . . .

. . . though, I guess it could be worse . . .

That'swhy it is recommended you take your temp the same exact time immediately upon waking to get the most accurate reading. Even moving can change the temp slightly, which is why 2 temps taken consecutively will likely have 2 slightly different readings.

I think I got my BBT on drugstore.com for about $9. I don't know if you paid more or less. Yes, the OPKs get expensive but have you tried the ones from Dollar Tree?? Yes, they are $1!!
