Cheapest limo service to and from Laguardia? Also a question about car rental...
We are going to Florida in February, and not sure if we can get a ride to the airport. As usual money is crazy tight... So I'm looking for the cheapest limo/cab service we can find...
Also - would they provide a car seat or should we bring our own?
also - while we are in Fla, we need to rent a car (we were counting on DH's bonus, and it fell thru, so now we are screwed...) so also, whats the cheapest rental place? And would it be better to bring our own car seat or rent one from the rental place...
TIA everyone!!!

I couldn't find a car service cheaper than $120 each way from Holbrook to JFK in July, so we just drove.
I'd bring your own car seat, my SIL rented one when my neice was 1 and the one in the car was HUGE and she had to buy another at Wal-Mart.
We usually rent from Avis.

depending on how long you are going, just drive yourself and use long term parking...
over the summer for 5 days/nights was about 80 bucks or something around there...

What about winter? Would it be more?

I dont know where you are leaving from but I have been quoted for a van for Feb also leaving from the east end $300++ They are out of their minds. I would check the airports website and do long term parking if it is a money issue.
I would also bring my own car seat in the car if you do get one to the airport many do not supply them.
As for Florida. I go to the Mousesaver website and check the Car Rental Page for all the different companies and put in all their codes they have listed. Trying different combos and booking the very best one. I also keep checking to see if they go lower cause sometimes they do! Good luck. Oh and I would/am bringing my own car seats, I know the cleanliness of the seat, how to operate the seat and install the seat. No messing around in uncharted waters.

I think we parked at gate 3.....but i'm not 100percent sure.. We parked pretty close to the airtram though...
If you do park, you hope on the airtram which will take you to your terminal...

I know with National you can stack codes. They are usually a little more than Dollar or Thrifty but I have found real good prices with them on occasion.

I just used Classic Transportation - a private car - from Holtsville to JFK and it was $105. I think it's a little less if you take one of there blue vans and share with other people, but not significantly less.

I would park the car in long term parking. Make sure to reserve a spot ahead of time. (check out avistar, dollar and airpark) you can usually book online and they have coupons on their sites.(for free day or whatever)
As for rental cars, check out thrifty.com (I always get such great deals with them) and also check out www.carrentals.com
I would also bring your own car seat. you can just check it in with your luggage.

For a rental car you can try priceline - since you really don't care which company just a good price and located at the airport. I did that for a trip and got a pretty good deal.

I would do this too. I got a car rental for $20 a day using them.
