Cheapest place for eye exam?
Does anybody know where to get the best price for an eye exam??
DH has no insurance right now and he needs an updated contact prescription ASAP.

for contacts . . .I called a ton of places. The cheapest is cheaper peepers. 45 for exam.

$45 for the exam. Really? We have vision coverage (crappy plan) and our co-pay for a vision exam is $60.

I'm pretty sure that the Dr @ Costco (Nesconset) is $80 for exam and contact lens measurement/fitting.

66.30 @ my office . For non astigmatism .for astigma i5 is 110.50 and for that place someone said 45 is more then likely a glasses exam only
. I work for davis vision.

No actually it was for a contact lens exam AND I have astigmatism!
I called them to find out and it was 89 dollars for a contact lens exam. I just could not believe it, being I am in the field. They charge it for any kind of contact exam. I called the one in New Hyde(sp) park. Not to be rude anything, Like i said being in the field I could not believe it. I was about to call my corp office because if that was true we would have to change our pricing and quick.

Contact lens exam is $99 at Costco. I just had one a few months ago. It is an increase over the past years, where it was $79 or $89.

my place is not in a good neighborood but free eye exams. and contacts are dirt cheap. its in jamaica.
what about cheapers peeepers at the mall??
