Check out the annual severe weather report (so far)
Lots of facts here. Makes you realize we are doing well. So stop complaining!  
If you scroll down it gives specific facts too.
A good amount of stuff to click and look through.

I love it when you post things like this, I am a closet weather junkie, and I love a good storm. I am sure I will like them less when I own a home but still love it.

I love it when you post things like this, I am a closet weather junkie, and I love a good storm. I am sure I will like them less when I own a home but still love it.
You won't love them as much when they hit your home, blow a hole in your backyard and fry your car.

And we haven't even gotten to hurricane season yet!
We complain so much when we get one or two big storms but we don't realize how lucky we are. At least our roofs and walls are still intact.
I would never move to any of those mid-Atlantic states!!
