DH and I already have two beautiful children and weren't planning on having anymore. That being said, I was very surprised when I started to get pregnancy symptoms like heartburn and hot flashes. I took a pregnancy test the day af was due and it was positive! Unfortunately, the next morning I started to bleed and it was a chemical. Now that this happened, I actually want another baby. I feel like I was cheated and I need to try again. My question is, am I crazy for wanting a 3rd when I'm a few months away from 40? I have a 5 and 2 year old already. Should we try again or just be thankful we have 2 healthy and beautiful children?

Totally up to you and your hubby but I don't think you're crazy at all. This actually happened to my SIL but she had a late MC. She felt like it was a sign and had a 3rd. Best of luck with whatever decision you make.

I'm sorry for your loss. You are definitely not crazy! Sounds like purpose of this was to move you guys in this direction. Best of luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too!!! We have 2 DC and are trying for our 3rd. I'll be 40 (freaking unbelievable  ) in a few months. We are in a time where women are having healthy pregnancies later in life and it's amazing.

And no, you are not crazy. I just had my 3rd in July and I'll be 40 next March.

I think you should go for it if you want another. I don't think 40 is too old. I have had four miscarriages in all, but just had my third child, a healthy baby girl, in October at age 39. It's very common nowadays according to my OB.
