Re: Chevy Traverse??

I have the Chevy Equinox which is the smaller version of the Traverse and I love it. Very comfortable and great milage. I think they made a lot of changes to both models that improved them a lot over previous years. If I needed a larger vehicle I would have definately checked out the Traverse. If you don't need the 3rd row seating or extra cargo space I'd recommend checking out the Equinox.

Re: Chevy Traverse??

Leighla has one so you can FM her.

I've ridden in it and I really liked it. Very roomy, comfortable and drove smoothly.

Re: Chevy Traverse??

We just got one a few weeks ago. So far we love it. My husband traded his small car in for it and now will never go back to a smaller car. Lots of room. Third row seat if you need. So far nothing bad to say!

How is the third row bench??

we are coming from a Durango..also third bench but it was SO SMALL. Leg room was awful back there. Also...the second row...is it bucket seats or a bench? Thanks!

I can only speak for my Enclave, but the 3rd row is a full thrid row, and very comfortable seats adults. I have sat back there with no issues.

As far as configurations, it's really what you desire. The car/truck comes in both 7 or 8 passenger. The 7-pass has bucket seats/Captain's chairs in the second row, which was very necessary for me since I had 2 kids in carseats. In order to get to the 3rd row, I didn't want to move a carseat to get to the 3rd row, so we got the bucket seats and access is easy through the middle.

8 passenger/2nd row bench seat is a good option if you have only one car seat and can flip a portion of the bench seat to get in the 3rd row.

Here's a link where you can compare interior sizes among other features of the Durango vs. Traverse for 2009 models.

Traverse vs. Durango

Good Luck!

Re: Chevy Traverse??

Its a nice car very roomy. The only thing I did not like is that it was alot to add upgrades and some of the interior is still plastic even with upgrades but that is just if i had to nit pick.

Re: Chevy Traverse??

we test drove it and really liked it..roomy and a good ride!!

we also compared it to the acadia (which, imo, was the best ride of the 3) and equinox which was the least comfortable/smooth ride of the 3...i did like all 3 trucks and felt that the traverse fell in the middle as far as price, comfort, luxury, accesories, etc.
