Chicco travel systems
Does the fact that all reviews I have read say that you can't attach the carrier to a shopping cart make any difference to anyone??
I really like this travel system and that really seems to be the only neg. thing I have read......just thought I would ask you ladies if any of you thought that was a big deal or not.....Thanks

Re: Chicco travel systems
You wouldn't want to attach any carrier to a shopping cart. It is not secure on the top of the cart. The safest place is in the cart itself.

Re: Chicco travel systems
I've actually read that most seats that claim they can attach to a shopping cart actually DON'T in a safe and secure manner, and no matter what, some safety advocates recommend you never try to attach your infant seat to a cart, and instead put it in the main compartment and use the seat area for groceries.
(as for the chicco vs other infant seats in BRU, DH and I preferred the chicco becuase we found it easiest to clip into the base unit.... so we bought a keyfit 30 for Scone)

Re: Chicco travel systems
I have it and it was never a problem. I just either used peapod or went alone when grocery shopping. And when I went clothes shopping etc, I just used the stroller too

Re: Chicco travel systems
I have it and love it. If the cart is metal I put it in the big part. If its plastic, like at Target, I put it sideways in the top part but ALWAYS hold it with one hand. It's not really supposed to go there, but I've done it. You just have to hold it.

I wouldn't put the carrier in the top of the cart. We have the Chicco and I either put it in the basket, use a stroller if I can, go alone, or (now) use the Bjorn (she loves watching everything and is so happy in it...my back is getting used to it now).

Re: Chicco travel systems
I registered for the chicco travel system and the fact that you can't put it on the top of the cart is better for me, I am short and would not be able to see over..lol
