Chicco versus Graco
I am doing research for one of my friends who is having a baby soon and wanted to know what brand is better..Chicco versus Graco. I am really unfamiliar with what brand is the best for strollers, PNP, car seats and swings.
Is there one there is clearly better than another or are they pretty much comparable and just a preference?

According to the Baby Bargains book, chicco got better ratings in the car seat and stroller catagories than Graco, so we went with Chicco. I don't think it was a huge difference, I believe Graco got good ratings too. Ended up that DH really didn't like any of the patterns of Graco and loved the Chicco Extreme.

We went with Chicco b/c consumer reports rated them very high.

chicco has better ratings in baby bargains. I got the chicco cortina travel system and playard in discovery pattern. I also got the high chair but user reviews on BRU for the high chair were ehhh...my aunt also bought me the graco blossom highchair and that had much better reviews. so i guess it all depends on the product in the line.

withe DD we went with Graco... im not sure if baby bargains has changed since then, but they had the higher ratings at the time... we do have a chicco highchair though, and i love it, execpt when it comes down to cleaning it... there are so many grooves, it gets so gross! I should have paid more attention to the reviews about that!! But we loved our infant carrier and playard by Graco... no problems at all!

I'm in the midst of this battle right now....from all I have read from Baby Bargins 2009 and Consumers Report Chicco is better in saftey and parents choice.....I'm still undecided though

We registered for the Chicco Cortina travel system. It got really god reviews in Baby bargains and consumer reports.
For the PNP and high chair we registered for a Graco. They got good reviews and i really liked the selection of designs and features.
