Re: Chicken broth question...
If it is one of the cardboard containers it should be good for 5-7 days. If it is in the can, transfer it to tupperware and put it in the fridge no more than 5-7 days.
I freeze my chicken stock.. I imagine you can do the same with canned broth!
HTH!

Re: Chicken broth question...
Since I have a ton of recipes that call for less than a full can, I bought this stuff in the granules. You can make as much or as little as you need.
One teaspoon + One cup water = one cup broth Herbox

Re: Chicken broth question...
There's also ones that come in a box... they have a little cap so you can keep them easily in the fridge!

Great idea freezing it. I'm going to do that next time. I always just throw it away.

I don't think you can keep those that long either

Never knew that existed. How is the taste compared to the can or carton?
Also when you mentioned freezing it reminded me of a tip I read from Martha Stewart. She said to pour the chicken broth into an ice cube tray then you only use what you need when it is frozen. Thanks everyone!

I have never noticed any difference in the taste. I do notice that it is NOT salty and I like that. My SIL gets a much larger bottle than I do at Costco. I get a jar that is probably about 8 oz or so.

Re: Chicken broth question...
I use an air tight container and keep it in the fridge. I've been known to keep it longer than that in the fridge. I haven't had any issues.
