Re: Chicken Egg Foo Young
Egg Foo Young is like the chinese food version of an omelette. They scramble eggs and add onion & bean sprouts and then whatever else is listed, chicken, pork, shrimp, or veggies, and then cook it - I think it's fried on the grill. It comes with a brown gravy on top.
I like it, but I am guessing there are many out there who don't.

Re: Chicken Egg Foo Young
Good Egg Foo Young is great. It's one of the less expensive dishes though.
I like Pork Egg Foo Young.

Re: Chicken Egg Foo Young
Azad, can I ask--what made you ask? Did someone reccomend it to you? Or did some one tell you something really horrible about it?
I don't think I've had it with chicken, I should try it, it probably has fewer calories than the pork.

Actually I was looking on the ww website for other ideas for chinese food (other than veggies and the usual) and it said chicken egg foo young is only 4 pts.
We ordered it and it was good actually!! Only thing is it came with gravy and I'm sure that should be counted as extra?
Thanks for the help girls!

it must be 4 points for a small amount... if it's 5 eggs just the eggs would be 10 points!

Re: Chicken Egg Foo Young
I dont know why the site says that unless its a VERY small portion or cooked in a different way
Egg foo young (made at my old job) was 5-6 eggs, whisked, add the fillings (onion, chicken or pork or other) and put it into a wok filled half way with oil.
Fry until cohesive- flip.
Soaks up the oil like a sponge and it one of the worse dishes to eat....
Azad- the other bad ones you mentioned are for the same reasons- deep fried

I had it for dinner tonight ( I'm so easily influenced!)
It comes as three smallish omlets in a box. Each "omlet" is probaly 1 peice.
Is it 5 eggs in one of those 3 peices? It doesn't seem like it could be, b/c I use 6 in eggs in a 10 inch ( 4 serving) frittata.
Sometimes the gravy is thick , like beef gravy, the one I had today was thin like the saucethat comes with dumplings. It i s probably a little better thanth the thick kind, but mostly oil.

Re: Chicken Egg Foo Young
lemme recall.....
They would crack all the eggs and mix the stuff....then make 2 large omlettes
So i guess from my exp- it would be 3 eggs each or thereabouts
