Childbirth classes at Winthrop
Has anyone taken either the inpatient or outpatient childbirth or Lamaze classes offered through Winthrop? Would you recommend them or another one? And do you pay for these?
TIA

Re: Childbirth classes at Winthrop
We took lamaze for $150. The breathing was a joke to me but we got a lot of information from the class (things we should ask our insurance company, where to go, what to bring, etc)... I don't know if it was worth the money but it was helpful I guess.

Re: Childbirth classes at Winthrop
We took lamaze classes that met for 2 hours every Monday night for a month. One class was spent on a tour of the hospital. The classes were taught by two nurses that work at Winthrop. I found it extremely helpful in just knowing what to expect when being admitted into the hopsital and the procedures that they go through once you are in labor. They spent time on breathing techniques which I did use during labor and a babycare class. It cost $150 and I thought it was well worth it!
