Children = Lower Car Insurance Premiums?
Did your car insurance premium decrease when you had children? Our policy recently renewed and went down over $30 per month. Only thing that has changed is we had DD. But I'm afraid to call them and ask. Is it possible they assume parents are safer drivers?

umm...I don't think so. I know it changes when you go from single to married but I never heard of having children affecting the premium. I could be totally wrong though.

I think it's safe to assume that having children has nothing to do with it. You don't have to call your auto insurance carrier to tell them you have kids, so I don't see what one has to do with the other.
I say just enjoy the discount!
