Chimney Cleaning - is this expensive?
I have a wood burning fireplace and a chimney connected to my boiler system, both of which need to be cleaned. I received a quote of $140, including tax. Is that a lot? If so, can you recommend your chimney cleaner? I'm in East Rockaway.
TIA!

My only advice on chimney cleaning is DO NOT let them try to sell you anything but the regular cleaning. Chimney sweeps are notorious for trying to sell you extra unecessary services. Try looking in you local pennysaver. There are usually ads for chimney cleaners in there. call to get a few quotes.

we had ours cleaned out when we had a cap installed. I think it was $80. The company was Fred's Chimney Magic.

I had a small boy clean my chimney in 1754 for 2 shillings sixpence.
Now thats a good price. Here is his business card.
