Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread recipe
This is my first post on this board. Howdy.
The smell of baked goodness is wafting through my house right now so I thought I'd share one of my favorite recipes...
Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread Makes 3 loaves
Mix dry ingredients together:
3 1/2 cups flour 2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp cloves 1 tsp ginger
Mix wet ingredients together:
1 15oz can of pumpkin puree 4 eggs 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup applesauce 2/3 cup water 2 cups white sugar 1 cup brown sugar
Slowly mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just blended. Stir in 1 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (add more to your liking)
Preheat oven to 325. Butter and flour (3) bread pans. Pour mixture evenly into pans. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out with a few crumbs. Cool in pan at least 1 hour before serving.
This is one of those things that tastes even better the 2nd day.
Enjoy!

Re: Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread recipe
Those look SO GOOD. You can almost smell them through the screen!! Tell us how they taste! If they are really good I may make a batch and bring it to work on Monday for the girls there.
ETA: Are those tin boxes your spices?? If so.. - where did you find them??
