choosing a class...if you had to choose between taking dc to swim lessons or to "gym" place play, which would you go to?

would you rather bring him to the swim lesson or the gym play?
How old is your dc? For me I found the play gym very helpful and rewarding for him around the age of 14 months to 2. I recently set him up for swimming (he's almost 3) and he loves and gets it. I know if I signed him up any earlier it would be just a waste of money, he wouldn't really listen to the instructor. Every child is different though.

Swim, no doubt.
I would like to be there to see what he is learning and know first hand how comfortable he is in the water.
I also don't know if I would 100% trust someone else (besides DH) with my baby in a pool at that age, even with teachers there. I am not really that much of a worrier, but until DS is much older I want either me or DH in the pool with him.
