Chopped Salad Tool
Does anyone know where I can find one of these? The ones you see the people use who make chopped salads in delis, etc.? The best I can find online is a pizza cutter looking tool with two blades and a corresponding bowl for less than $55! ANYONE out there?! TIA!

Re: Chopped Salad Tool
Nope, saw those, too..it's more like a mezzaluna looking thing, but with two blades and not one...I think the scissors would be annoying to use to make a chopped salad..thanks, anyway! This is driving me mad!

This Bad Boy looks like what you need
It's not a mezzaluna but it works nicely. I see that you probably already saw this already.
You can get a double bladed mezzaluna from La Sur Table I think.. I'll check.
ETA: This?

Re: Chopped Salad Tool
I have the mezzaluna--not that one though one like the one they have at salad places.
The company that makes it is Table Craft.
I actually got it from someone who distributes to resturants which is how I got it, apparently they are hard to find. Maybe ebay

Re: Chopped Salad Tool
Is it a handle w/ 2 blades? I bought something like this at Jacks in NYC. It came with a wooden board and it's supposed to be for garlic chopping but it has so many uses.
Maybe something like this would work. http://www.objects-of-design.co.uk/products1/28/catlev/888/compact-herb-garlic-chopper-fitted-blades.htm

Thanks, all!! I will report back when I receive one!

Re: Chopped Salad Tool
I saw something like it at the TJ Maxx in College Point yesterday. I was on line so I couldn't get a good look but it was by oxo.

Re: Chopped Salad Tool
i think your looking for this...
OR....
they are indeed called a "mezzaluna" .... many companies make them including.. KitchenAid, JA Henckels, Wusthof, etc..
i think the most practical one to have in a home kitchen would the Wusthof Mezzaluna from BBB
