Christening & Godparents...
Are we (the parents) supposed to get the godparents a gift?
Did you get your DC's godparents a gift?
If so, along what lines?

My mom and my brother are our kids godparents. I got my mom a godmother charm with their initials and the date of their christening on the back.
For my brother, I got a frame with spaces for 3 5x7's and put Sarah on one end, Andy at the other and this poem in the middle:
For our Godfather
Uncle Mike
We want you to know how lucky we feel
to have a Godfather like you,
someone who always loves us
no matter what we do.
When we think of you we count our blessings and thank the Lord above
that we have you for our Godfather because
Godfathers are chosen with love.

My sons christening is Sunday, I think I better get it in gear with this...
With DS #1 I got the GM an engraved picture frame, GF got the Godfather DVD set
With DD, the godparents were a couple and I gave them an engraved frame.
When I get professional pics of the kids done, I always order one that will fit their Godparent frames.
For DS #2, I think I will do....actually, I seriously I have no idea
 I really better get going on this.

We got the godfather, personalized frame with pictures from things remembered and the Godfather DVD set. Lauren's godmaother was given a personalized braclet that said 'bella zietta-beauitful Auntie' and personalized Auntie/godmother frame with pictures.
i wish we could of given more.

I gave the Godparents and 8x10 picture of my DS with his Christinening outfit on. They loved it and very inexpensive.

I don't think it is a requirement by any means. I got my godparents a small gift. I got them silver locket monogramed keychains from red envelope and put a picture of them with my son in them.
