Re: Christening gift
Good question! I have one next week for good friends but cannot make it. I was thinking maybe a savings bond?

Re: Christening gift
Money or a bond ...or I just found something cute on Things remembered'd website...its a silver baby cup and utensils that you can have the baby's name engraved on.
My husband is Godfather to our friends new baby and we're going to give them that and a bond.
Here's a picture. It's $24.95 Image Attachment(s):

Re: Christening gift
I have one coming up too & am attending.
I am torn between a savings bond & money. ( I am also making a blanket)
I know they started a college fund already, so I if give cash it will be added to that, but a bond seems classier, however they woudlhave to wait utnill it matures to add it to the college fund, which is actively earning interest.
If I give $, do I write the check to the parents? Or just give cash.
