Christening gift from godfather
My nephew is being baptized in Feb and DH is the godfather. The godmother is giving the cross. What should we (DH as the godfather) give? I'm not sure what is generally given to a boy besides a cross. TIA!

Re: Christening gift from godfather
Usually the godmother buys the christening outfit and the godfather buys the cross. He can buy the outfit, and another piece of jewelry ( my DS also got a name bracelet from his godfather)

Re: Christening gift from godfather
I know but the godmother goes to Italy quite frequently and bought the cross there (my other nephew got his cross from his godfather from Italy as well)....anyway, I guess jewelry is the way to go. I definitely would have done this if the baby was a girl but wasn't sure since he's a boy. Thanks for the ideas!

I gave my godson an engraved nameplate bracelet that will grow with him to an adult (he wore it at our wedding too)

Ditto - or a nice sized saving bond. someon gave a $500 as a gift for DS for his and it is now worth $1000. It is nice to have to start a savings for them.
