Christening question...how many people at church?
On your invite, did you list the church and party, or just the party? How many people came to the church?
It seems like a lot of people want to come to the church for DD Baptism. I think that is wonderful and so kind of them, but I don't want to be odd by having a crowd! Then again, it's a wonderful celebration and it's not like my family/friends will be disruptive! The only other Baptism I've been do have been out of state, so only the godparents and grandparents came.
Last time I spoke to the church, DD was the only one being Baptized that day but that could have changed.

I listed both but I would say there were under 30 at the church. There were 65 or so at the party.

i put both the church and party info. DD baptism is sept. 7th so i don't know how many will be at the church, but i have a feeling i will have a crowd as well....i'm also not sure if she is the only one being baptized that day! we'll see!!

We had 100+ people at the party and about 30 people came to the church. Actually more then I thought would.

I had over 100 at the party and probably about 40 at the church...what can I say people were excited to finally meet the baby!

we listed both and had a lot of peopel come ot the church.
It was nice to have that support there for her special day.

I invited everyone to the church. I had a private ceremony and most came to both daughters.

I put both on the invitation. I had around 100 guests at the party and about 30 at the church as well. There were 2 other babies making their christening that day and they had a crowd with them too.

We had 65 people at the party and 60 of them came to the church! My church made it apoint to say that they want everyone invited to the party to be invited to the church!!

We didn't have a limit as to the number of people we could invite. We got 2 church pews for immediate family and then the rest of our family/friends had to sit towards the back of the church.
Our invitations had the time and date of the ceremony and then "reception immediately follows at..."
