Christmas gift question....
No one has asked just yet what to get Ryan for his first X-mas. But to be most effective, I'd like to gently just tell people what to get him. I know we should be thankful for all gifts, and we are. But there is nothing worse then getting an abundance of stuff you don't need or even duplicates (without gift receipts) of what you do need.
So does anyone here tell people what to buy DC? And how do you go about it?

I'd wait until they ask, and then tell them a category. DD needs new bath toys, so I'll say bath toys when someone asks.
I wouldn't get more specific unless they ask for it.

I really only tell people what to get DD if they ask. Except for my mom, then I just tell her what to get Katelyn, or what she needs.

Some people asked what size he wore and I specifically laid it out by the upcoming seasons...so at the time for him last year:
Early Winter: 6-12 months
Late Winter & Summer: 12-18 months
I let them go from there.
As far as toys...some asked for suggestions and I kept a list read off of it - I also suggested older toys for him to grow into ..people liked that idea.
The rest gave what they wanted...it was appreciated...most he has made use of...some he did not.
