Re: Chutes and Ladders

I actually bought a few games and was surprised that many of them were 3+. I debated between Candyland and Chutes and Ladders and ended up with Candyland. My son (who is 3) has no trouble understanding it, so I feel like he'd understand Chutes and Ladders as well. I may even get it for him for Christmas.

My son got it for his 3rd birthday and was pretty much able to play right away.

I play this game with students all the time and they always have difficulty following the boxes. Their tendency is always to go up, not zig-zag the board the way you are supposed to. I feel this game is much harder to follow than Candy Land.

My son got Candyland and Chutes and Ladders when he was about 2.5-few months shy of 3. Candyland he got right away and no troubles. Chutes and Ladder he will play for a bit and understands but gets bored and rather have his guys ride the slides and climb ladders. We have yet to finish a real game of Chutes...he is 3.5 now.
