CIO nap time
How do you do it? DD isnt a good napper. She takea two cat naps during the day. The last couple days I nurse her she falls asleep then I put her down sge wakes up. I think if we do cio for naps it will hel w/ all the night waking or at least help her go back to sleep at night faster. How long do you leave them in the crib for nap cio? I put her down she woke up. Picked her up burped her and pur her back w/ the mobile on and her sound machine blinds closed. I know she is tired b/c she was rubbing her eyes and falling asleep on me. She screamed for a few mins and stopped. She is crying on and off morw like whining. She looks like she is goin to sleep then rolls over and is wide awake. If she is quiet how long should I leave her in there? What if she is crying. Any help is much appreciated! At my wits end with this childs terrible sleep patterns. She is 9 months 7 corrected. TIA

Re: CIO nap time
For nap CIO, I left Loey for 1 hour usually - but that's one hour of fussy, whining, playing,.... not full out screaming crying, KWIM?
It took probably a good two weeks before he got into a good nap schedule. After that though, he'd nap 2x/day for a solid 2 hours each time - so it was well worth it!

Re: CIO nap time
How do you determine what time they should nap? I have her am nap figured out, but not her pm. Thanks.

For Loey, it wasn't a set time of the day, but more of a set time that he was awake.
When he started STTN, he would wake up at 6, stay up for 3 hours, nap at 9. Wake up at 11, stay up for 3 hours, nap at 2. Wake up at 4, stay up until bedtime at 8:30.
I would just look for tired signs - rubbing eyes, pulling hair/ears, actually laying down while playing, getting unconsolably fussy...
