Circuit City to close ALL stores effective immediately
Add my sister to the ever growing list of the unemployed. She works for Circuit City and the employees were told that they could not find a buyer for the company so effective immediately all stores are going to be liquidated. She saw it coming so she was not all that surprised and she has been looking for another job since December because of the rumors. Circuit City had an issue for the last 2 years of not paying creditors on time or at all but she didn't know if it could have even been fixed. I feel bad for all 30,000 in the company that are going to lose thier jobs.

Sorry for your sister and all those employees.
All of these closing stores is just a shame- but I hope DH doesn't hear about this! He will go nuts over clearance prices.

34,000 employees losing their jobs They will get 60 days severance pay, but I just pray your sister and the other employees find new jobs soon!!!

and for your sister too! My husband's store was so busy today . The funny thing is that the sales were better last month.--Too bad Ricardo Salinas didn't take over.
