City Teachers...
Any vacancies in your school that you know of? my husband is a mid-year fellow and is looking for a school. they can start end of october when they're training is done... the Board told him special ed. but mid-years can take anything available if the principal wants to hire.
He has a B.S. in political science and economics and a juris doctorate (law degree) so he's really hoping he can find something in the social sciences...

Tell him to try IS 61 The leonardo da vince school. It is in Queens
The kids aren't the best, but the staff is AMAZING and I think there are a few unexpected openings. I am not sure what areas. He can just send the resume, it won't hurt.

karen, I don't know of any openings! But what helped me was actually walking into schools, pick an area, and hit up each school.
I hope he finds something that he likes!!!
