Classes and other things to do

I was taking two classes at the local library with DD but they just ended. I looked at the schedule for Dec and Jan and there are no new 0-12 month classes. I work from home and would like to find some things to do for the winter. I am not sure about committing to a class I have to pay for with bad weather coming. Any ideas? Which libraries on LI have good programs I can look into? Western Suffolk/Nassau area.

What about the LICM? I bought a membership for $60 for both DS and I. He has a lot of fun there.

Unfortunately you can typically only sign up for classes at your own library. I know Middle Country used to have a drop in program for non-library members, but they changed it to members only.

If you pay for a class, many of them do offer make-ups so that's something to think about.

I had two people in my recent class that were not from the area. They give preference to residents of the school district but if there is room others can get in. I just think that many programs end in Dec and begin in the end of Jan because of the holidays, so the library may not be the best idea.
