Cleaning Bottles

Ladies, how do you clean your babies bottles?

Also, do you sterilize them every time you clean them? I received the Avent sterilizer, but am not sure if I should keep it or return it. Do you think I need it? Thanks

Re: Cleaning Bottles

I used to sterilize them everyday in the Avent when DS was a newborn, now at 7mths I just put them in the dishwasher since it has the sanitizing rinse option

I only sterilize if he is sick or if they are new. After that I just use soap and water.

Re: Cleaning Bottles

I had a microwave sterilizer and seriously used it once. I'd return it.

We always washed ours in the dishwasher, which sterilizes the bottles (and it's a heck of a lot easier!).

Re: Cleaning Bottles

Jacob is 6 months and we still use the sterilizer...its just easier for us because we dont run the dishwasher enough to put his bottles in.

Re: Cleaning Bottles

I used glass bottles and sterilized them after every use until he was a little over 3 months. Now I just wash with warm water and a bottle brush.

Same here, as per what my Ped told me.

Although I do sterilise the pacifiers quite often.
