Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
I was thinking of purchasing one of these, but as most of you know, they're quite pricey...anyone have experiences to share? Thanks so much!

Re: Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
this is my second month using it. i decided to buy it because i thought it took the guessing out of the other opk's. it was very easy to use, last month it gave me 2 high days and 2 peak days. i think it can give you up to 5 high days. it automatically gives you the 2nd peak day no matter what. have you tried any other opk's yet? if you have any other questions just ask.

Re: Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
I have one, actually my friend gave it to me after she got pregnant, they recommend not sharing, but I really don't see the big deal, it takes 2-3 months and then "it gets to know your cycle". I know a lot of girls who have used "used" monitors and have gotten PG. For the first two months I was using OPK's and the monitor and they both gave me the same peak day, I like the monitor because it will give you one or two high days before your peak so you know when it is coming. I got PG after 3 months using it, but ending in a M/C and now I am on my 3rd month since the m/c, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that 3 is a charm!!

Re: Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
I have it, it took one month for it to get used to me.
To me I think the money is worth it, though it is quiet $$$$! It takes the guessing game out it, and tells you exactly when you ovulate... For us, I am really hoping to get PG soon - because I don't think I would be able to take the dissapointment everymonth for too long
Good luck! !

Re: Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
My favorite part is the that I don't have to watch the clock. So when you wake up early you can pee on the stick, put it in the monitor and go back to sleep (or in my case, go attend to my toddler). You don't have to wait the five minutes to see the results, you can find out when its convenient.

Re: Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
I just won 1 on ebay. It is a brand new monitor and a box of 30 sticks for $95. You can find used ones too! I just did a search for Clearblue Fertility Monitor and a ton of them came up.
I couldn't use one when I was trying for DD because I was on clomid, you can't use the monitor and be on clomid.
Good Luck!

Re: Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
After 6 months of TTC I finally invested in one...I got my BFP the first cycle that I used it.

Re: Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
Thanks, everyone, for the advice. I went out and bought one today. We'll see what happens! For the beginning, I'll probably be using more to know when NOT to BD (we're hoping to get pregnant at some point this summer or fall)...so I'm sure it'll be good for that as well.
Thanks again for all your insight!

Don't trust it for birth control. Sperm lives for days...

We won't be at ALL upset if we get pregnant now...but it's better to know approximately WHEN I'm ovulating than not. You're talking to someone with a very irregular cycle. So I think it'll be better to use it to gauge rather than just taking a shot in the dark (no pun intended! )...you know?

Re: Clearblue Fertility Monitor?
Sounds like a good plan, and I can relate. The first time I got pregnant I hadn't had a period for 12 weeks, but an early ultrasound showed I was only 5 weeks pregnant. Of course Clearblue wouldn't have worked for me that time, your cycle has to be under 45 days for it to work for you. Fortunately now my cycle seems to be sticking to somewhere between 30 and 40 days, so I'm hoping for a more straightforward experience this time around...
I wish you lots of good luck when you are ready for it...
